In your message, please tell me how you participate in the CS philosophy...
CURRENT MISSION
Learn about people's cultures.
Learn Romanian, Dutch and maybe an Asian language ; )
ABOUT ME
❝To have another language is to possess a second soul.❞
— Charlemagne
My name is Diego. I love languages and literature. I am an open-minded person. I love travelling and I hope to make lots of good friends and travel, too.
I have been participating actively in CS for a few years now. I have had some quite enriching experiences and also some that require improvement. For instance, some people have come to stay with us and asked often: "what time is lunch ready." Somehow, out of kindness, I became their server. It took me some time to relax and let people do their bit.
It is definitely appreciated when guests take the time to lead a simple conversation, smile and lend a hand. It is fine to ask how things work at the host's house to make the experience flow naturally and show your host you are thankful for welcoming you and opening their homes and lives to you.
PHILOSOPHY
"There is an extremely powerful force that, so far, science has not found a formal explanation to. It is a force that includes and governs all others, and is even behind any phenomenon operating in the universe and has not yet been identified by us. This universal force is LOVE. When scientists looked for a unified theory of the universe they forgot the most powerful unseen force.
Love is Light, that enlightens those who give and receive it.
Love is gravity, because it makes some people feel attracted to others.
Love is power, because it multiplies the best we have, and allows humanity not to be extinguished in their blind selfishness. Love unfolds and reveals.
For love we live and die.
Love is God and God is Love.
This force explains everything and gives meaning to life. This is the variable that we have ignored for too long, maybe because we are afraid of love because it is the only energy in the universe that man has not learned to drive at will." - Inconnu.

Dear Guest,
My house is not a hotel, a hostel or a shelter for people travelling without financial means. If you are only going to use me to have a roof over your head, you can skip my profile and go to the next.
The CouchSurfing philosophy is to SHARE, within our/your possibilities, some time and great experiences. I am otherwise fine by myself without having to attend to my CS guests. I love doing CSing and do it throughout the year. I learn a lot from the people who have come to see us and most experiences have been great. However, some people seem to need this reminder.
Bear in mind that having you over will increase our costs of water, gas and electricity.
Of course, you are not obligated to pay us. That is not the idea behind CS. We are all invited to have some sort of an exchange, and I do not only refer to having a conversation, which at times does not even happen because either of us can be too busy or too tired to coincide…I actually refer to the exchange of some token of gratitude for the "inconvenience" caused, for example, something typical in your country of origin, a bottle of wine, a cheap dinner, a set of postcards to decorate the kitchen, seeds for the garden, a small grape plant ☺, a used book in your language, etc…
My future guests and my family will appreciate that,

Querido invitado,

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can host two people who will have their own beds and a private room and full private bathroom.
However, if you really need a place to stay, I can let you stay on our sofa as well (as a third guest - rarely, but possible).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have welcomed over fifty people in my home.
Numerous exchanges
I have also surfed about ten times already.
He conocido personas realmente extraordinarias.
J'adore parler dans des langues différentes à la mienne; j'aime lire, cuisiner, danser, et expérimenter des cultures nouvelles, and lately, I have discovered my love for gardens. I am trying some vegetables and a couple of ornamental plants for now.
In fact, as a way to thank us, some guests, have brought us bulbs to plant and seeds. We have also collected some picturesque postcards telling us where you come from. A few weeks ago, a family brought us wine they made themselves and a sausage they cured at home. My most recent guest made us a meal. It was his first time and it came out to be great! (anachronistic statement). It is always pleasant to be thanked for participating in the CS project.
