CURRENT MISSION After 18 years of schooling, I have decided that it is time to take a break, see the world, and work out what comes next. I've enlisted my friend Erin to come with me on a journey that is tentatively entitiled 'Erin and Bethany do the world, 2005'. ABOUT ME I love food, and although I have too many clothes and CDs for my own good, most of my income is spent on eating out or buying food to eat at home. I can't turn down a good beer either, especially on a summer's afternoon. PHILOSOPHY I think that you should do what you like in life, as long as you like what you do.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Our couch in North Melbourne has seen many couchsurfers over the years, most of whom have stayed for about a week. Most of them were friends of my housemate, and they ranged from the almost invisible, to the sort who liked to have baths in the morning peak hour of the bathroom.
Music, Movies, and Books
Working at the movies is a good way to see everything when it comes out, and not have to worry about whether it will be a waste of money. I really liked Hero and Napoleon Dynamite, but you can't go past some of the classics like Singin' in the Rain. I like music that is kind of described as 'indie folk pop' - local Australian bands like The Guild League and Darren Hanlon are a good example.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Parasailing. It's the closest I've ever come to being able to fly.
My Interests
I'm a self-confessed TV addict, I like to watch live comedy and theatre, and feel that these days I don't read anywhere near as much as I should do.
