About Me

I am originally from Taiwan, spend most of my childhood in Taipei until the year 2005. I was 11 years old turning 12, a pivotal year of my life. A year of turning into a moody teenager. I huffed and puffed when my parents plucked me out from the country I once called home and moved us to Pennsylvania. At the age of 12 I remember I wanted nothing but freedom and friends, a sense of belonging. The freedom was given, but the friends were not. Quite hard to make friends when I couldn’t speak English. I spend my youth alone with a raging hormone. Money were tight within the home, my parents worked tirelessly to provide a better lifestyle for my brothers and I. I remember staring out the window wishing that one day I'll be able to SEE THE WORLD. The day i'll be able to connect with the people of all gender, culture, religion, and lifestyle. The day I no longer will be seen as an outsider, because the world will be my home.

I am a travel nurse who move from state to state every 3-5 months. I travel for work and I also travel leisurely. I love the outdoor, especially hiking. My passion started when I first hiked the Trolltunga in Norway back in 2017. Since then, my desire to hike continues. I love traveling to different countries, making friends with the locals, learning their way of life. I never underestimate the power of human connection, the deep rooted fundamental of friendship. I am open to being friends with anyone and everyone, but must be warn. I am not a person you'll easily forget.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always been a little bit of a wanderlust. A romanticist, almost deadly. I see the snowcapped mountain, and to which it excites me. I hear the thunder roaring in the clouds, and to which it comforts me. The temperamental nature of mother earth natures me, embraces my fear so it blossoms. I march to the cadence of my own heart, as it desires. I no longer confine myself to the expectation of the society. I no longer allow my fear to hinder the itinerant that I admire to be. I am meant to live this life to the fullest, the undeniable world is calling my name…Bethany. I'm getting itchy feet, I am eagerly waiting to see your world.
