Hi there! My name is Betty. I'm an English teacher with TLG (Teach and Learn With Georgia). I'm living with a host family in Gori, Georgia and working at a local public school. I am a native speaker of American-English, fluent in Russian, and dabbling with Georgian. I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 2013, and spent a semester abroad at Smolny Liberal Arts College in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I'll be here until June, then what, I don't know yet! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music tastes are always changing. Right now, my mix ranges from Janelle Monae to Thievery Corporation to Grace Slick. OK, books. The last 2 books I read were "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," by Milan Kundera, and "Me Margarita," by Anna Kordzaia-Samadashvili. Highly recommend both of them. Movies, uhhhhahhh. I like Hitchcock, Tarkovsky, Miyazaki, and comedies in general. The last one I watched was Trainwreck.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I canvassed for 2 years and didn't meet anyone famous. #westernmass

My Interests
I like reading, groovy music, cooking with spices, shaking my booty, writing, translating poetry from Russian to English, enjoying solitude, sunsets, sleeping in until 10, wow this is starting to sound like a dating profile and that's not why I'm on here lol. Just ask! I like a good conversation.
