Currently in my third year at Victoria University in Wellington, majoring in psychology and history. Also work part time in a call-centre at the BNZ and am always looking for an opportunity to hang out with people - old or new friends - and get outside (love to hike, rock climb, coasteer and swim in the ocean, and am going to learn how to surf, dive and hopefully run another half-marathon this year). Love people, love life!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get the chance to meet a ton of new people and make them feel at home here; plus it's always good to have friends on the other side of the world who can return the favour! Would love the chance to show ya around my awesome city and hang out. Love any opportunity to see the world from a different perspective and do life with people, even if it's just for a few days or longer :))

Interests

Amateaur guitar player, enthusiastic singer, festival-goer. Hiking, rock-climbing, ocean-swimming, sky-diving, coasteering and (hopefully) surfing are my main adrenaline-inducing outdoor pursuits of choice, but I'm up for anything.

Love getting outside to make the most of whatever place I'm in and taking every opportunity to go on a new adventure!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into lots of different styles of music: alternative, electronic, worship music, jazz, D&B, among others. John Mayer, Fred V & Grafix, ODESZA, Jamie Cullum and Brenna Whitaker are particular favorites at the moment, but it changes all the time :)

My favorite movies would have to be Shutter Island and Dirty Dancing (love a good romance)

Book wise; would have to be old classics like the Little Princess and the Secret Garden. Also enjoy the odd sci-fi when I have the time

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best experiences of my life so far has been going on Outward Bound, a three-week course in the Marlborough Sounds in NZ which is all about challenging yourself, getting out of your comfort zone and realising that you are a complete badass and can actually do anything. Met some incredible friends for life, did some crazy stuff and had the best time ever.

I'm also going to a missions trip to Central African Republic in August 2018 which I'm suuuuper pumped about, going to be very different to anything I've done and very worthwhile

Would love to learn a few words of your language, hear your thoughts and stories on life, your travels and any deep/philosophical ideas ;) (bring on the 3am conversations about love, spirituality and the meaning of life)

I can teach you how to speak Kiwi (bogan slang included) and am up for anything - late night/early morning adventures, partying, roadies, music jams, spontaneous plans - count me in!

What I can bring to you is the chance to have some awesome talks about life, a musical jam if you're that way inclined, a very chill personality and some great memories and adventures :) Love to experiment with my cooking too so if you're down for that then feel free to sample!!
