CURRENT MISSION

I'm planning a trip to Iceland in September, with my friend Heather. I'd love to connect with locals and explore a little off the beaten track.

ABOUT ME

I am an open minded person who enjoys meeting new people and trying new things. I need very little in life to make me happy. I love my dog 'Dave' and my small menagery. I like to see the best in a bad situation and find the adventure in the unknown.

PHILOSOPHY

I havn't always lived with running water and I like to remember this when I feel like complaining about something! I see the best in people, laugh when things go 'wrong' and try not to sweat the small stuff.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had an amazing experience in 2014 as a surfer in the USA when I was new to the concept. Met some amazing people and can't wait to do it again!

I surfed with my friend Heather last year, we shared some amazing times with new friends we met along the way!

I have varied interests and enjoy hiking, horse riding, camping, swimming in the sea, trying new activities, crafts, willow weaving, dog training, live music (my tastes range from heavy metal to folk!), eating out and meeting people.

I have diverse interests in literature and music. I love character study films and find something I like in most genres.

One amazing thing is so hard to narrow down to! I'd have to say my team coming second in a motoscape rally, travelling across Europe in an old mercedes we'd bought for £250 and painted like an American police car, dressed as 1980s policemen, travelling to 10 countries in 7 days, 'arresting' a man in a mankini on top of the Stelvio Pass, aceing the daily challenges, connecting with new people and taking our brand of 'speed tourism' to the continent... that was an amazing trip!
