About Me
🙋🏻♂️Hi 🙋🏻♂️大家好 🙋🏻♂️สวัสดีคับ
Let's call me " Bigg "
我叫 "大名"
เรียกผมว่า "บิ๊ก" ก็แล้วกัน
‘빅’ 이라고 합니다
I can... host, hang out/meet up or answer your questions about Thailand.
🚫Do NOT be LAZY to read.🚫 Please READ 'My Home' carefully before sending any requests. If not, you may get a "decline" without any message.
I'm currently based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. 🇹🇭 I'm a local Thai who was born and raised in Chiang Rai, the northernmost province of Thailand. ✈️It will take you 1 hour 20 mins by plane or 12 hours by 🚌bus from Bangkok.
● My personality :🙎🏻♂️ I'm a down-to-earth, optimistic, simple, encouraging, energetic, easygoing, sociable, positive, considerate, environmental-friendly, conversations initiating, creative and practical person. ( let's prove when you meet me in person ) ผมเป็นคนติดดิน, มองโลกในแง่ดี, กินง่าย อยู่ง่าย, ชอบให้กำลังใจ, กระตือรือร้น, ชอบเข้าสังคม, ขี้เกรงใจ และชอบใช้ของที่ปลอดภัยต่อธรรมชาติ
You are more than welcome to visit me while I'm on duty.
🍲I can eat anything but prefer veggies because I can digest them faster compared to meat.
🍦I love desserts but they shouldn't be too sweet. I'm not a good story teller but I can be a good listener.
I'm a non-smoker🚭.
I don't snore ( This is what I have asked and observed from my friends)
● PHILOSOPHY 🙌
- We human are all from the same father so we are brothers and sisters.
- Life is too short. Make it worth living.
- Life is too short to be negative.
- Do to others as you would have them do to you.
- It's more blessed to give than to receive. - Your life will change after you either have met someone or have read a book.
- I hope my life is a book that someone wants to read.
- Learn from the Past, Live In the Present, Plan and Hope for the Future.
- Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. (JFK)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe I'm fearfully and wonderfully made and so are you.
I have learned a lot from my friends. It's something money can't buy.
I love learning and I won't stop it until I have no breath left.
● What I have learned so far since I joined CS in August, 2015
1. Everyone at CouchSurfing is amazing. They have their own uniqueness.
You can learn from both good guest/host and bad guest/host.
You can learn to be more positive and giving because No-one is like you.
2. Many guests are looking for only free housing and nothing else. Be careful.
3. Many hosts will host only girls👩 and many hosts will host only guys👦. It's a waste of time if you are a male guest and sending a request to stay with a male host who accepts only female guests. Look at their references first.
4. The number of references can NOT TELL 100% that the user is a good guest or host and can NOT GUARANTEE that you can get along with him/her. You have to encounter him/her by yourself. For example, I used to host a friend with only 1 reference but he was more tidy, gentle, giving and considerate than another guest with 30+ references.
5. To me, it's pretty RUDE if you, as a host has received a request and don't respond 'accept' 'maybe' or 'decline' because it takes only a few seconds.
6. Write a HOST SPECIFIC request and MENTION the host's name in your request. Your message will get more chance to be read through.
7. A surfer who has a REFERENCE☝ or used to host a guest before has more chance to get hosted.
8. Be CONSIDERATE : I have learned to blend into a new environment. Many negative references are from not being thoughtful or considerate of others.
I just had 1 negative reference so far.
9. Somebody may give a reference to a wrong person. I have a few references from some users who I have never met or chatted with before.
However if you need a local to take you around the city, please let me know.
I'm more than happy to advise you about most-visited, good, interesting places to visit in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai and Bangkok.
or if you want to meet up for a drink, don't hesitate to let me know.

The reason why I'm learning many languages
- If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.

Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching Thai language to the world.
I believe we were born on this earth to receive and to give.
I don't like going to school to study but I prefer to learn and learn.
I'm an active host and surfer in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
If you are a good guest or host. I will tell a friend. If you are the opposite, I'll tell a hundred. Hahaha
What I Can Share with Hosts
1. 🕖My time, I consider our life time is so short so I want to spend time as much as possible with my host(s). I'm not a tourist in general who usually comes and goes. We will be friends forever. Actually it's until we both die but hope we will continue to talk in heaven.
2. 😆I will give you a positive and meaningful reference. I will NEVER ever give a host a negative reference unless he/she is trying to kill me or they decline my stay upon arrival.
3. 🍭I can give you something I can afford from Thailand as a gift of appreciation.
4. 🛫I'll try to revisit you at least once a year and want to host you back when you come to Thailand (If I'm available, tell me beforehand).
