After school I worked in radio as a disc jockey, then moved in sports journalism. The first half of my journalistic career was in radio, then I moved into television.
Since retiring I write biographies for families. These aren't for public consumption, just for the families.

I'm Couchsurfing for two reasons mainly.
It helps keep my expanses down. The Aussie dollar doesn't go too far in most countries, especially in Europe.
But more importantly, because I travel by myself I believe Couchsurfing will be an ideal way to meet people and get a better and more vibrant travel experience.

Música, películas y libros

I like a wide range of music, especially from the 70's, 80's and 90's.
I tend to read mostly fiction.
My favourite movies are usually motivational stories, usually those based on real life stories.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Being a parent and now a grandparent is the most amazing thing I've done.
Writing the family biographies is the most satisfying thing I've done in a work sense, way more satisfying than anything I did in my working career.
Also I've developed a passion for riding my motorbike. What started out as a means of transport to and from work, has become a way of life. I told my family and friends when I left Australia, I'll keep travelling on my bike until it's no longer fun, I run out of money or I run out of roads.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I want to be an example for my grandchildren in particular that you can achieve just about anything if you are just prepared to take the first step. That is probably the legacy I'd like to leave them.
