Overview
About Me
I’m from Poland, but I’ve always loved mixing travel with real conversations rather than just sightseeing. I used Couchsurfing years ago and had great experiences — now I’m excited to get back into it.
Day to day I run a language school and an online project that helps people start speaking English fast. So yeah, languages and communication are a big part of my life.
Outside of work, I’m a runner 🏃 — I’m currently training for the Chicago Marathon. Running is one of those things that keeps me grounded, and it also takes me to cool places I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise (and usually straight to the best food spots afterwards).
I’ve got a family back home (two little girls who keep me on my toes). Traveling is my way to recharge, meet people from different walks of life, and share stories.
I love hanging out over a meal, coffee, or a walk through the city. I can share Polish culture, swap stories about language learning, or even cook a simple meal if you let me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whenever I travel without my family, it’s usually connected to running — marathons or races in different parts of the world. For me, that’s the perfect excuse to explore a city in a deeper way.
Couchsurfing makes that possible. It’s not just about finding a bed, but about seeing a place through real people, not just tourist maps. I love the small things: discovering which café you actually go to, hearing how life really feels in your neighborhood, or getting a tip I’d never find on Google.
In the past I’ve both hosted and surfed, and every time the people I met made the trip memorable. That’s why I keep coming back here — it’s about connection, conversation, and experiencing everyday life wherever I go.
Interests
Running — marathons are my excuse to travel. I love how training gives structure and how races open the door to new cities, people, and food.
Food & cooking — from experimenting with ramen pastes in my kitchen to hunting down the best kebab after a race, food is always part of the adventure.
Languages — I teach English, I’m raising my kids bilingually, and lately I’ve been diving back into German. I like learning through real conversations, podcasts, and everyday situations.
Family life — I’ve got two young daughters, and they keep me curious, creative.
Travel with purpose — whether it’s exploring a neighborhood café, talking to locals, or finding a hidden park, I prefer experiences that feel real and unpolished.
Entrepreneurship & learning — I run a language school and an online project, and I’m fascinated by how people learn, grow, and share ideas.
