About Me

I'm a welcoming personn (according to my references ;o) I like sea side, moutains and countryside, walking, reading, biking, visiting new places with locals. I love going to concerts (live music, not DJ) , theatre, dance shows, stand up comedy, exhibitions etc. In fact any cultural event!

PHILOSOPHY
Always go ahead, no regrets!

"Le voyage ne vous apprendra rien si vous ne lui laissez pas aussi le droit de vous détruire. C'est une règle vieille comme le monde. Un voyage est comme un naufrage, et ceux dont le bateau n'a jamais coulé ne sauront jamais rien de la mer. Le reste, c'est du patinage ou du tourisme." Nicolas Bouvier, Le Vide et le Plein

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I' m a cs member since the beginning in 2004. I've met so many great people on this network and it made my travels unforgettable, getting to know the réal life of my host and discover their places in à non touristic way. I love to give this local and unique expériences to my guests too .

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE TO ASK FOR ACCOMODATION

Don't ask me for accommodation if you haven't bothered to fill in your profile

-CS means to you more than a "free" place to stay; if you are looking only for that, please look somewhere else;
-I do not want to host people who do not host themselves, whatever the reason, including the not-room-enough excuse (I know several people who host a lot while living in small 1 room flat), including the no-time-enough excuse (who doesn't have one or two nights to give in a month?), and including the my-boyfriend/girlfriend doesn't-want-strangers-in-the-house excuse (you have the boyfriend/girlfriend you deserve). The only exception is people who don't have a house or those who live at their parents (you don't choose your parents, do you?).

-I prefer to exchange some e-mails and get to know the person a bit before hosting, so please no last minute request, I wish to receive a message 1-2 weeks before

-don't send me a copy of the same message sent to other members, I receive several requests per day non personal messages will be more rejected, explain WHY you choose my profile (just "your profile sounds interesting/nice/amazing": it' s so vague and easy to copy-paste it to hundred of potential hosts...), and at least use my real name, without that minimum DON'T EXPECT A POSITIVE ANSWER

-If you are not travelling alone, you have to know that I don't host people who don't have their own profile on CS so don't ask to come with a friend who doesn't have a full profile.

Music, Movies, and Books

I often go to the cinema.
I like french music as "les têtes raides", world music, jazz (that I try to play) , celtic music...( no commercial music)
I read every night before to sleep, my favorite writer is Romain Gary

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 years old, I was fed up to take care of my hair, so I asked a friend of mines to shave it, at the end I looked like Sigourney Weaver in "Alien"! At this time, it wasn't 'in' to have shaved haird, even for the guys, but it was so comfortable...I liked it, freedom feeling!
The bad side of this experience: I had forgotten that I was invited to a wedding two weeks later, not easy to find a pretty hat at the last minute ;o)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook and learn new recipes (if you agree to share your favourite recipes).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell how CS was great a few years ago, when it was runned by volunteers and was free of charge
