I love food and being outside. I don't really do too many extreme adventures. I tend to instead fill my life with more mundane adventures, like living out of my tent, cooking over wood fires, scavenging for food, walking to the store, etc. Non-smoker

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I am hoping to meet some new people and explore some new places during my travels, I prefer authentic experiences and interactions when traveling vs doing touristy stuff. I don't plan on living in a place larger than a tent for a while... so I'm not really in a position to host for the foreseeable future unfortunately. I can give camping tips/locations though!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: traditional folk music, especially Chinese/Mongolian. African desert blues. Anything with a mandolin. William Onyeabor. Learning to play the tenor uke. Movies: historical movies, kung fu movies, and Disney movies because they are pretty commonly released in Spanish nowadays. Books: I'll read pretty much anything, most often something non-fiction
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I completed a 9000 mile bicycle trip in 2016. I hope to do something similar again soon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk about food, how things are grown. I can also share what I know about how and why nature sometimes works the way that it does.
What I Can Share With Hosts
Have a big piece of furniture that you want somewhere else? Save that job for when I stop by, all my friends do.
My Interests
I will do anything outdoors, ski, hunt, hike, bike, surf, sleep, fish, kayak, sail, snorkel, etc. I love learning about different places and cultures around the world. I love learning about anything really.
