CURRENT MISSION To experience and gain an apprechiation for all that this world have to offer. ABOUT ME I am a young teacher, teaching social studies and art at a juvenile detention center. I am very easy going, outdoorsy, get along with many different types of people, and am open to all kinds of experiences. PHILOSOPHY I think that all people have something to offer this world and that we have to make an effort to exist and participate in the experiences at hand. There is danger in being too critical and we miss out on a lot of experiences when we try to force our lives in the directions we think it should go. I think there is an energy to everything and that we get what we need and find happiness by allowing ourselves to go with the flow of life.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've hosted people at my house numerous times, but not officially through the website. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I couch surfed with four friends in South Africa (my friend Cara Gleeson ran the operations and introduced us to couch surfing). We were there for 3 weeks and spent 5 of those days with a local from the Cape named David. The other few weeks were spent at hostels.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I spent four months backpacking from Ethiopia to the Cape in 2009, and experienced so many beautiful moments both with the cultures I saw and the landscapes I experienced. When I was a sophomore in high school, I witnessed true poverty for the first time in the Dominican Republic and that moment opened up my eyes to the world outside my own and changed the course of my life purpose and travel destinations. For the last five years I have worked at a camp for kids who are impacted by HIV/AIDS called Camp Kindle and watching those kids come to life and have fun in a stigma-free environment is a truly beautiful experience.
My Interests
I like to be in social environments. I also enjoy being in the outdoors. I live for traveling and am open to any and all cultural experiences.
