CURRENT MISSION to go to the Mass Games in North Korea ABOUT ME I grew up in Chicago and have lived in Portland, OR, Champaign, IL & New York City. I am a librarian, but not the quiet, frightened type. In fact, I know very few librarians like that. I love traveling of course and am making my way through most of the US States. If I hit a Southern road trip I'll be almost done! I really want to go to Sweden, Russia, North Korea, and the Pitcairn Islands. I have an odd fascination with remote islands. I don't drive, and I love public transit. I work with computers and am kind of a geek. I am pretty self-sufficient but also very social, so I can fit into your situation pretty well. I love trying new things, especially new foods. I am kind of a beer dork and a foodie. My color scheme is usually a lot of black. :) Generally people seem to like me. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I joined long, long ago and I lived somewhere no one wanted to visit. I just recently moved to a new place and it's not quite up to speed yet, but soon, there will be a guest room! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE mainly, i have crashed on friends' (and friends of friends, and friends of friends of friends) floors in exciting, yet expensive cities. I have had some fun at couchsurfer meetups and only couchsurfed in America.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: documentaries, horror mainly Music: Everything from metal to country. Not a whole lot of classical or opera or blues or jazz, but everything else. Books: I read a lot of non-fiction--pop culture and history!
