ABOUT ME

Currently, I'm in a PhD program studying immunology at Tufts Medical Center. Formerly I was employed at Massachusetts General Hospital as an research tech studying Ebola virus and the innate immune system. It's interesting work and I love my job, but I also cherish my time not-working/schooling which is usually spent reading books, riding bikes, and telling/hearing stories with friends.

LIKE: pizza. bacteria. brass instruments. catching an animal doing something silly. settlers of catan.

DISLIKE: wintry mix. driving. long lines.

PHILOSOPHY

You saw it, you can't un-see it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My roomate and I have been hosting couchsurfers for years. In the past he did all the website legwork and I just lived with him and showed some people around the city when he was busy. Recently, I made this account so that I could be more involved and have my own couchsurfing individuality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had a ton of people come and stay with us in at least 3 different apartments in Boston since 2007. It's been a wonderful experience taking people all around the city and showing them the Boston that I know.

Rob and I couchsurfed across the US/Canada in 2007 and we met some really great people on the way that showed us some amazing things in the cities that we checked out, notably Boise, Portland, and Vancouver.

Interests

Lots and lots. I love biology (all aspects and subjects), I love reading fiction, I love the internet, I love talking current events. I played the tuba in highschool and I recently picked it up again out of the sheer enjoyment of making noise/music.
