UPDATE Fall 2013:

I've been in limbo for a little while now, having lived in France, Germany, Texas, DC, and California over the past year. At the moment, I'm back in the place where I spent most of my childhood, the rolling, golden foothills of Auburn, northern California, gateway to the Sierra Nevada. I'm planning to make my pit stop here for a little while, while I contemplate the next moves ahead.

My recent graduation from Southwestern University has done little to help me figure out what I want to do for the next few years, although a recent internship with the federal bureaucracy in DC has taught me a lot about what I DON'T want to do :D My general interests include writing, film-making, and entrepreneurship, and I absolutely love being outdoors, be it camping, swimming, hiking, surfing, running, biking, or soccer!!!

I also love traveling and languages. After a couple summer trips to Germany, I decided to plunge in for a full year during my sophomore year of college, landing in the beautiful city of Marburg. During my time there, I traveled to 11 other countries in central Europe, through the amazing vessel of couchsurfing and/or hitchhiking. After another collegiate year in Texas, I decided to return to Europe in the summer, this time for an exchange with a family in Rennes, France. Through a happy accident, I landed in Berlin, Germany in the fall for an internship with a startup accelerator for young entrepreneurs, which had to have been one of the coolest experiences of my life.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is not measured by the breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Hitchhiking with a friend from Freiburg, Germany to Milan, Italy in Summer 2011, meeting so many incredible people along the way and seeing some truly cool places.

-The World Cup 2006 match of Paraguay vs. Trinidad & Tobago in the host nation of Germany. The atmosphere inside and outside the stadium was INCREDIBLE. Trumpets, drums, fanfare, noise, as far the eye could see. And when a goal was scored, the whole place went nuts!
