About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work hard, play hard.

ABOUT ME

All positive and curious.
I am a graduate student major in Anthropology. Fascinated by cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

Try everything for at least once. Never regret.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted for a couple of times, but not anymore since I live in the dorm. Now I join CS events once in a while and hang out with local CSers. I haven't been a backpacker for too long, but I am visiting San Francisco this summer, and hopefully I will meet some CSers there.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friends are big fans of couchsurfing, and they introduced me to it. I have hosted a couple of times in Tokyo, and was hosted during my visit to Japan. I've joined events and showed people around in Taipei, and now I'm looking for more experience in Hsingchu.

Interests

Eating and making food, reading, blowing glass, learning new languages, trying new things that I haven't done before.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where should I start... I love Jazz, bossa nova, acapella music. I used to play piano and I like classical music too. I like Christopher Nolan's movies, Pixar animations. And I read anything that I can get. Mostly ethnographies and novels at this point.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking around Taiwan and saw the beauty of ocean. Was astonished by witnessing how typhoon has destroyed several areas southern and north eastern Taiwan. I am humble in front of nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I try to get a taste of everything, and I'm just not sure what to put down. I have learned to build an igloo in Japan, to blow glass in MO, USA, to cook at soup kitchens, to tell stories in city libaries. I like to learn from people, share stories and help people communicate. And that's why I want to be an anthropologist.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
