Overview
About Me
My home is located on the mainland, very close to the Penang Second Bridge, which makes it easy to travel to the island using Grab or public transport. It’s a convenient spot for exploring both sides of Penang.
As much as I love spending time with my guests, I do have a busy weekday work schedule. I usually leave for the office around 6 AM and return around 6 PM—sometimes later, depending on the day. That said, I always make it a point to have dinner with my guest whenever possible. That shared time is precious to me—it’s when we get to connect, reflect, and exchange stories.
If you’re staying on a weekday, you’re welcome to follow me to the island in the morning. I can drop you off at the bus station, where you can catch a bus to Georgetown or other parts of Penang. On weekends, I’m more flexible and can spend more quality time with you. If schedules align, I’d be happy to take you around the island and show you places that are close to my heart.
Now about me....I’m just an ordinary guy with a slightly different way of seeing life and the soul. I believe that every moment in our lives is deeply interconnected—that nothing happens by chance. Whether it’s a long friendship or a brief encounter through Couchsurfing, I cherish every soul connection I make along the way. And I'm a vegetarian since Jan 2020, after my return from India when I suddenly lost the urge to eat meat.
To me, the universe has its own quiet language, and I’ve come to trust its rhythm. I see blessings in every twist and turn, even when they’re hidden at first. Life is a journey not just of places, but of people and presence—and I’m grateful for every step and every soul I meet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly, Couchsurfing happened by accident. I was just randomly searching about travel back in 2017 and came across it. I joined in November 2017, but didn’t really pay much attention to it—until December 2019.
That was when everything changed. I was hosted in India and met some beautiful souls who took care of me with such kindness and sincerity. It was an experience that touched me deeply—something I still carry with gratitude every single day.
Even then, I never planned to host anyone myself. I rarely opened the app. But one day, something nudged me to check it—and to my surprise, I saw a familiar face. A friend I had met four years earlier as a guest of my host was coming to my city. Without thinking much, I decided to host him.
That simple decision opened a new chapter. Since then, I’ve been truly grateful for the chance to connect with amazing people through Couchsurfing. It’s not just about travel—it’s about genuine connection, shared stories, and the unseen threads that bring people together at the right time.
Interests
I’m drawn to meeting people from all walks of life—from every corner of the world, of every faith, race, gender, or background. What moves me most is not our differences, but the invisible thread that connects us—the soul connection that transcends all labels.
I carry a deep interest in listening to people’s life journeys—especially those moments where the universe whispered, guided, or brought someone unexpected into their path. These are not just stories; they are reflections of something greater at work.
Everyone is searching for something—healing, love, meaning, peace—and I feel honored when someone shares that sacred part of themselves with me. These conversations leave lasting imprints on my heart, and remind me that no meeting is random, and no soul crosses our path without purpose.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don’t limit myself to a specific genre of music—I embrace them all. What I listen to depends entirely on my mood, the moment, or what my soul is quietly seeking. Sometimes it’s something soft and meditative, other times it’s a piece that stirs deep emotion or ignites energy within. For me, music isn’t just sound—it’s the language of feeling, the unspoken conversation between heart and soul.
When it comes to movies, I’m drawn to those that touch the heart, move me to tears, or carry a hidden message for the soul. I value stories that stir something deeper within, films that leave behind a quiet echo long after the screen fades to black.
As for books, I’m not someone who reads frequently, but when I do, it’s because I feel the universe nudging me toward it. I believe some books don’t just appear—they arrive with purpose. The Laws of the Spirit World was one such book. I didn’t just read it—I experienced it. It came to me at a time when I needed answers I couldn’t fully put into words. It was like a gateway—opening up deeper understanding about life, the journey of the soul, and the unseen threads that bind everything together.
My second book, The Forty Rules of Love, opened a new dimension in my life through the teachings of Sufism. As I read, I saw my own life mirrored in its stories—deeply connecting with its message and feeling a strong desire to explore this path further in the future.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If I had to name just one amazing thing I’ve done, I honestly couldn’t—because a few moments in my journey have touched my soul in ways I can’t truly compare. In December 2019, I climbed Alagar Malai, Sathuragiri Malai, and Kolli Malai in India—three sacred hills that didn’t just challenge my body, but completely transformed my thoughts and the way I see life. That journey was the beginning of an inner awakening.
Then, on 29th January 2025, I was blessed to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela—a sacred event that happens only once every 144 years. Being part of something so rare and spiritually powerful felt like the universe reminding me of my place in a much greater flow.
But beyond the sacred paths and spiritual moments, it was the souls I met along these journeys that became the greatest blessing. Each connection—whether deep or fleeting—carried its own light, its own purpose. Some offered silence, others shared stories, and a few simply walked beside me for a while. They were reminders that the universe speaks not only through places, but through people.
And that blessing continues, even now, with the souls I meet through Couchsurfing. Each encounter becomes a thread in the tapestry of my journey—teaching me, grounding me, and sometimes even healing me. These soul connections are the true treasure of my travels, and I carry each one with quiet gratitude.
Teach, Learn, Share
Honestly, I believe we are all both teachers and students at different points in life. When I communicate with someone, it’s always straightforward and sincere—no masks, no hidden motives—just presence and truth.
And something beautiful happens when the other person shares that same mindset. Our thoughts begin to align, and conversations often go beyond words. In that shared space, we sometimes find answers—not just to the questions we ask, but to the silent ones we carry deep within our hearts.
I believe in sharing stories, experiences, and insights—not to impress, but to connect. I’m open to learning from every soul I meet, regardless of their background or beliefs. Often, a single moment of honest exchange can teach more than years of experience.
To me, teaching is sharing what I’ve lived. Learning is listening with an open heart. And sharing… that’s the bridge that brings us closer—not just to each other, but to ourselves.
That’s why I stay in touch with some of the people I’ve hosted or who have hosted me. Because those connections weren’t just about travel—they were about presence, meaning, and something much more enduring.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The miracles that have shaped my life, the soul connections that continue to guide me, and the quiet blessings the universe has gifted along the way. More than anything, I offer my sincere gratitude—in words, in presence, or in any small way I can. Every moment shared is meaningful to me, and I always try to give back with honesty, respect, and kindness.
