About Me

Live Life, Feel Love and act with Compassion, Abide in deep Peace, Respond with Equanimity... and with some measure of success!

Hi, hello there

I'm having a human experience! Life is good- in bliss, in pain, easy or difficult there is always much to learn. The lessons of life are delivered perfectly for me (even though that's usually only apparent in retrospect).
Travelling is wonderful and is the best eye/mind opener especially when accompanied by meditation.
I spend a lot of time being- the joy of being comes when i'm doing something simple and I look around and it's like looking at a beautiful piece of artwork where everything has been placed with care and intention and I disappear in that appreciation.
I like to spend time sitting and meditating. It's the most rewarding thing I've ever applied myself to. It keeps me grateful, it keeps me sane, it keeps me happy and full of love.
I love animals. They are some of my favorite teachers and each has their own wisdom. The dogs in my life have taught me boundless joy and the cats have taught me zen.
I was living at an artist residency in Nebraska called Artfarm. It's a wonderful place. I lived at a Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Center in Northern California. It was quite a growing experience being there. Every moment I'm being transformed into a new human with much more to offer the world and much more to live for.

I like rocks. I love them in fact. Stones of all kinds.

I love being alive

PS: I like postscripts.

In each moment there is the opportunity for appreciation. There is an opportunity to look within and enjoy what is happening all around me. Live in joy, with love. To keep in mind the liberation of myself and others as my highest goal in all moments of life. Observe life with equanimous eyes and know that all others are ultimately seeking freedom from suffering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel. I meet people. We share stories and experiences. I offer my being to all I meet. As much as I can I try to inspire people to enjoy their lives. I like to offer energy healing to my hosts if they're interested. I practice a mash-up of intuitive healing, reiki and crystal therapy. UPDATE: I just began practicing quantum healing hypnosis therapy (mouthful) and it's amazing and I love to share it. I like to help people and couchsurfing is a great way to come in contact with people that should be in my life right now. It's so much nicer than supporting hotel chains. I love meeting local people and getting that intimate perspective of a location that's otherwise not available to passer-throughs and tourists.

I've stayed on three sofas as a result of CS and they were all wonderful. They were all in Turkey. I stayed with a really cool dude named Onur. He was working on his thesis and it was really nice of him to let me crash at his place for a couple nights anyway.

Ann, was an ex-crystal therapist and reiki practitioner. She's not an official couch surfer, but she may be soon now that she knows about it.

I also stayed with Yusuf Kartal in Istanbul and he was super nice and incredibly hospitable like everyone I met in Turkey.

I've also stayed on sofas plenty of times outside of CS.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like lots of books, movies and music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most amazing experiences have come suddenly when I've been sitting and openly watching the world around me. They have been fleeting moments of deep peace, bliss and understanding.

I recently went on a 10 day Vipassana Meditation Retreat.

Updates: Ayahuasca was super enlightening

Teach, Learn, Share

If our paths cross, we'll do all three. Promise.
I make sculptures and have a fair amount of skills as a result. I'm pretty cozy in a wood shop or a metal shop. I really like welding. I'm always down to make some art.
I'm always expanding my knowledge about crystals and their energetic properties. I'm a fair hand at energy work and I like to talk about metaphysical adventures. I'm learning about massage and body work.
I've been on a yogic/vegan diet for the last 3 years. Mostly as an experiment. It's been going well and I really like to break my rules sometimes. If you want to know about that kind of diet I'd be willing to share recipes or info.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Love, happiness, joy, peace.
I can offer body work and energy work if you are interested in either of these. I have stones that I travel with. I like to give them as presents.
We can talk. We can laugh. We can dance. I can cook.
