I'm an art student from Colombia, currently living in Paris, France. I live with my girlfriend, Anna, with whom we love to travel during school vacations. Appart from studying at the École d'Art de la Sorbonne, I work as a babysitter; a work that has shown me the importance of keeping alive the inner child we tend to loose while growing up, as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry once said. This is very important for me as an artists, as I can keep looking curiously at the world and opening the doors of perception, as Aldous Hulxley proposed. I am very quiet (I think, although Anna says I talk too much, sometimes) and I like to listen to people talking: Stories, myths, legends, anecdotes, etc. I like to learn from their stories, from their culture, from their beliefs, thoughts and philosophy of life. I have to say I love books and reading, although I'd love to read and know more. Knowledge has always been a fascination. I also have a very passionate relationship with music. I adore music, and I listen to music all the time. Being also a musicien, I love to talk about music, discover new music and non conventional instruments. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Because I want to travel and stay with local people, learn from them, see the cities from their point of view. What interests me the most is how people inhabitate a place, not just the most known iconic places, not just the touristic stops, but the personal way of living a city. And with people come also stories and a way of sharing, a network of people that will forever live with you.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
I decided, after a degree in Business, to leave that world behind and pursue my dream of being an artists, beginning with studying Art in Paris in one of the most important schools of art : l'École d'Art de la Sorbonne. I had to start over, and I've never been happier!

What I Can Share With Hosts
I can share my stories, my knowledge on music, literature, a little bit of philosophy, Art and Music. I can share my cooking experience (which is really limited but I'm always eager to learn more) My culture, my skills as artist. Share a meal, share a talk, share points of view. I can propose to do portrait photography as a way of thanking them, or a watercolor. I could cook with/for them some time to share knowledge, recipes, experience. I can share the experience of writing music or poetry, a short story.
My Interests
I think my interests are so large, it's quite difficult to just make just a list, but I'll try to name the most important and the most general: - Art: I'm an artists, so I love museums, art history, art books, learning about art and having my creative projects, alone or in collaboration with other people. - Music: Listening to music is a vital part of my life, but I also like to play music (Guitar, bass guitar, a lil piano and synthesizers) and sing as a way of expression. Love to discuss music, get to know other genres of music, and discover non conventional music and instruments. - Books: Love, absolutely adore reading: literature, poetry, science, art, philosophy, psychology, classics and contemporary. Also love books as objects, I prefer reading a book than on a tablet. - Food: Gastronomy is one of my favorite things about traveling. I really appreciate discovering different flavours around the world and then trying to integrate it to my cooking. For me cooking is a sketchbook for creative thinking. I think that's the most important, but I'm basically interested in everything as I believe you can learn from any situation, so sports, physics, mathematics, drawing, gardening, neurology, astronomy, cooking, dance, opera, theater, myths, technology... they are all part of my interests as well. :)
