Hello! I am from Maryland, on the east coast of the US. I come from a large family (second youngest of 7 children), and really enjoy spending time with friends and family. I'm currently solo traveling through Mexico, Central and South America for about a year. I work in the business side of the healthcare industry – helping hospitals and clinics improve their processes, safety, patient care, and customer service. I am very positive, adventurous, easy going, and open-minded. I enjoy exploring new places, playing games, yoga, exercising, the outdoors, hiking, the ocean/water, and spending time with others. I am always up for a challenge or to try something new. I love to learn, and am eager to immerse myself in other cultures and discover new skills. I am also very respectful of others and their places and am always sure to leave it even better than when I arrived. I look forward to meeting you and having some fun conversations!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love to have fun, meet new people, and explore. I am traveling as a way to share my passion for life with others, immerse myself in new cultures and experience the daily lifestyle, and take time for giving back to others. I am interested in using Couchsurfing while traveling so that I can quickly meet other people, and engage in cultural exchanges. I studied Spanish in high school and college, and lived with a host family (who only spoke Spanish) in Spain for a couple months while studying at a local university. I am working on becoming fluent, but already can usually communicate about pretty much anything.
Music, Movies, and Books
Ah, favorites are really hard for me because I like tons of different things and it always just depends on my mood! I really like all music except for country and heavy metal. Some favorite genres are indie, reggae, electronic/chill, latino, alternative rock, rock, oldies, good rap, and folk. Books - I usually go for some kind of self-help, development, or skill-based book. I can also get down with a good romance or mystery novel :)
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Quit my job to travel :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Below might be a good list in terms of teaching or sharing. For learning - I'm always trying to better my Spanish, yoga and meditation are also things I'm currently practicing, and am always interested in culture, life stories, and different life perspectives/wisdom. If you have some skill you like to teach, I am always interested in learning something new.
