My name is Caroline. I am a happy globetrotter, currently in South America. I am positive and energetic and try to enjoy every single thing I do, be it groceries, skiing, partying, research, sleeping or anything else. I see the good in everything, not in a naive way but undoubtedly optimistic. It is a great way of living, it makes people smile and every smile is so valuable.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and traveling around the world. I set myself the goal in life of visiting every country that exists. I'm really keen on actually doing this, so hopefully the odds are in my favor. It'd be great not only to see the countries, but also meet lots of warmhearted and open-minded people living there, which I reckon you are when you're on couchsurfing:) I am always up for an adventure!
One Amazing Thing I've Done

My Interests
A bit about my life path so far, I grew up in the Netherlands and finished my bachelor degree in international relations and international law in 2016 at University College Maastricht. During my bachelor I got to spend half a year at Sydney University and after finishing I went back to do an internship at the Consulate-General of the Netherlands in Sydney for another 6 months. Both were beautiful experiences and on the way back home from the second half year I traveled through Sri Lanka where I did a 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat. I'd recommend doing this to everyone, meditation is such a valuable practice and immersing yourself in the world of Vipassana for 10 days is a wonderful way to learn more about the art of living. In October 2017 I started my Schuman traineeship at the European Parliament in Brussels which I just finished. I believe that life is a matter of both working hard, but also playing hard, so now it is time to travel the world some more! Discovering South America is what I'll be doing for the next few months <3.
