On the road now! I´m Carol from Brazil, an easy going and curious backpacker that loves to meet new people and to chat. I'm totally into sharing meals, drinks and experiences - definitely a foodie ;) I enjoy adventure, nature, cycling, trekking and outdoor activities, and also reading or being quiet just observing the nature. At home, gardening is one of my favorite things, besides trying new recipes at the kitchen. I'm travelling since March with Guilherme, my husband, now in Bulgaria and heading soon to France. He's a relaxed and cool guy, with lots of traveling experience and stories to share. He works in IT and supports Corinthians soccer team. I once traveled by myself for 404 days on a World Trip in 2013/14, one of the greatest experience I’ve ever had, and used CS many times. I live in Curitiba, in the south of Brazil, where I take people to have a great gastronomic experience visiting pubs and enjoying lots of local food ( @tourdeboteco ). I also write a travel blog and edit a website about Curitiba (tourdeboteco.com). ...........

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I´m on a 3 months trip to Europe with my husband Guilherme from March to June, I'm hoping to couch a lot during our trip. I love the idea of CS, sharing experiences with travellers from all around the world is great! That´s why I´ve used it so much during my world trip in 2014. Btw, I don´t host people for one night only, it´s not time enough to get to know someone. Also, if you send me a one line request, or a copy and paste one, you´ll receive a negative answer. If you wanna stay at my place, please show me that you read my profile and send me a proper and personalized request. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Just amazing! It´s the best way to have a local experience when you visit a different country, and to feel like travelling when you host someone!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Traveling by myself on a 404 days World Trip Doing an exaustive but incredible 3 days trekking in Rinjani Volcano in Indonesia. Playing river weed war with children in Laos, even not speaking a word in the same language. Drinking cups and cups of tea with the simple and super friendly people in Myanmar. Couchsurfing in a Carpet Shop inside a cave in Cappadocia. Going on an eight days amazing (and wet!) trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal, during the monsoons (and having 51 leeches over me during the trek)! Diving with huge turtles in Bali. Learning to hitchhike in Greece, and walking for hours under the summer sun carrying the backpack until I got a ride. Going to a Gipsy party in Budapest and dancing like crazy. Eating spicy food with the hands and taking thousands of pics with the locals as if I were a Bollywood star in India. Making so many awesome friends during the World Trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you wanna learn some Portuguese, or even Spanish, I can help you with that. If you speak French, I´d love to practice it with you. I love to cook, we can do it together or I can prepare some brazilian food for you. I'd love to learn how to prepare a typical food from your country too. If you come to Curitiba, maybe you can join me at the the Food Tour / Bar Hopping that I organize here.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can prepare some dishes we eat here in Brazil or we can prepare a meal together. We can practice Spanish or Portuguese, if you’re interested. Or we can just hangout together and chat.
