About Me
Hey there, I am Catalin! I just got back to couchsurfing and I am sooo ready for new adventures!
I finished my studies at the pedagogical university after 5 years of studying and just passed my last exam of my 1.5-year-teacher-practices...so I'm a fuckin teacher now!! Finally!! 😍
So far I lived in Canada for 6 weeks as a summer-au-pair near Toronto and one year in the United States (New York State) also as an au-pair. When I got back from America, I worked for several companies including a paint shop for automotive parts, a producer of electromechanical and mechanical drivers and a producer for solenoid coils. During my studies later on, I worked as a replacement teacher at a privat school, in a hotel as a night porter and sold beer at Festivals. Incidentally I took thousand other jobs to stay independent and free!
2019/2020, I finally went on my first solo-backpacking-trip to Central America for 3 months and I loved it! The countries, the people, the couchsurfing-community over there... Wow! Since I started Couchsurfing, I made so many friends in different countries, hostet people from all over the world and fell in love with the travel-spirit!
I am a very humorous, spontanious and friendly person who is always trying to make others happy and willing to make new experiences whenever there is a chance!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Due to my studies, I learned that becoming an intercultural speaker is a goal that can be never achieved but still I want myself to grow and gain experiences in order to reinvent myself constantly.
I experienced that traveling helps me to see other cultures from a different perspective and to stay open-minded and respectful towards people of other countries. Hosting and getting hosted by those people is the perfect way to do so.
That's why I'm here! :)

Teach, Learn, Share
•What can I teach?
I'd say that I share a deep passion for food and especially baking. Sooo let's hit the kitchen! I love music and learned to play the violin and the piano for years. I can teach you a simple piano song if there is a piano around!
•What do I want to learn?
More Spanish! I want to learn as much as possible whenever there is a chance.
•What I can share?
Stupid jokes nobody laughs at and embarrassing stories everyone shakes their head at. Aaaand I want to share these two quotes with all the people diggin' thru my profile:
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

People will not remember the details of what your face looks like, yet you worry the most about that. They do remember your smile. The look in your eyes while they were talking to you. The way you made them feel. How gentle you were. The comfort your words gave them and the understanding you were willing to offer. How you went out of your way to make them happy. Your kindness, your compassion, and your respectfulness. The most beautiful of faces may have the ugliest of hearts, and if that's what you're looking for, that's what you will get. But if you have a beautiful heart, your beauty will shine on people's hearts. Whether they see it or not depends on what they're looking for.
