I'm passionate about cultures and people--as cliché as it sounds. It's actually what I study as a Cultural Anthropology major in school. People usually describe me as quirky, bold, independent, funny, and adventurous.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people from around the world and sharing stories! I took a gap year abroad after high school where I lived in Belgium for six months. As an exchange student, I met all these amazing people from other countries and loved learning about their cultures! I love traveling, but people are what makes the traveling so enjoyable! I don't travel to be a tourist, but to learn from locals about the place they call home. Currently, I'm based in Chengdu, China where I am an English teacher. I have a spare room and may be able to host you if it's a good fit and it works out with my schedule! :)
Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to indie folk and alternative music. A big fan of Mumford and Sons, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Sufjan Stevens. I love sharing and exploring music and am down to do so! I'm not much of a movie person, but generally comedy-dramas and comedies are my favorite. I love Into the Wild, Little Miss Sunshine, Bridesmaids, and Superstar.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to read music, sing, play trumpet, piano, or tap dance. I can also teach you some French. I love learning languages and more about intricacies of new cultures!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'd love to share stories, whether that be of crazy travel stories, or stories about our everyday lives . When staying with a host, I hope to not just get free accommodation, but actually learn about each other and share bits of our lives with one another. After all, this is what makes traveling so rich.
