Me and my girlfriend Birthe left our comfortable life in Belgium on September 5, 2015 to travel around the world for about a year.

I'm self-employed and sell WordPress plugins for a living, allowing me to work anywhere in the world as long as I have my laptop and an internet connection. Birthe quit her job and has been maintaining our travel blog http://wandering.world

We both really enjoy food and love trying new things all over the world. Before traveling sports were a big part of our lives as well, especially football (soccer) for Brecht and volleyball for Birthe. At the moment it's mostly passively following our favourite teams. Both of us like card- and boardgames as well, so we're definitely up for that!

On our trip so far we've really enjoyed the beauty of nature (Ang Thong National Marine Park and the tea plantations in Malaysia come to mind) and experiencing new things (like learning how to dive in Thailand).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We feel like Couchsurfing is the perfect way to really get to know a city. Something that's difficult as a tourist in a hotel. We'd love to meet people all over the world and exchange experiences.

As we're currently traveling around the world it's not possible for us to host, but we'll definitely be open for that when we get back.

- Always enjoy a good romantic comedy.
- Chicklits!

We both recently learned how to dive down to 30 meters and visited a shipwreck. Pretty amazing!
