About Me
After spending some time on Couchsurfing, I’ve noticed certain patterns in how people choose their hosts and travel companions.
It’s not something I judge — but it does make me pause and think about what kind of connections I personally feel comfortable with.
For me, getting to know someone through real conversation is still the most meaningful way to start.
I value exchanges of ideas, perspectives, and experiences more than situations that might feel confusing or send mixed signals.
That’s why I prefer to begin with honest communication and clear intentions.
If we connect, I’d like it to be through our minds first.
These days, I keep my interests simple. I enjoy wine tasting, learning massage, picking up new languages, and watching horror movies — lately with a growing curiosity about Eastern witchcraft, shamanism, and religious traditions.
I studied German Literature, with minors in EU Studies and Translation.
I like cooking (mostly just enough to feed myself), reading, singing, and taking long aimless walks. I usually watch movies alone.
I have a steady fondness for drinks — alcohol, wine, and tea — as well as salads and language learning.
I travel mostly on my own and don’t play any musical instruments. When the chance comes up, I enjoy squash, cycling, badminton, bowling, and billiards — though hiking isn’t really my thing.
One thing I genuinely enjoy is talking about social issues.
I tend to approach them from a critical angle — not to argue, but to understand structures, power relations, and the stories behind everyday realities.
As a person, I can be relaxed, talkative, or quiet, depending on the situation rather than by design.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1. Since many on Couchsurfing value sharing and engaging in conversations as the core aspects of the experience, spending time together in comfortable silence can also be quite enjoyable and uniquely fulfilling.
hi no
2. It would be my pleasure to show you around my neighborhood. My home is situated in a non-touristic area, about 20 minutes from the tourist center, where you can explore a traditional market and experience local life.
3. Sharing life experiences is the best conversation topic over a drink.
