Hello!!!! My name is Chiara and I'm 26 years old. I am travelling in Europe thanks to the Erasmus Mundus Programme, studying Food Science in Belgium, Portugal and Germany!! It's a great opportunity to meet international people from all over the world and to live in different countries (and to study, of course :P )

It’s amazing how much you can get to know yourself when you leave your fears behind, take the chances and get out on an adventure. Since I've started travelling I experimented only good vibes and the result is that now I can’t stop: I need to learn more and more, to see, to listen, to experience and to live as much as I can. Quoting Oscar Wilde, “Travel improves the mind wonderfully, and does away with all one’s prejudices”.

Sooner or later I'm gonna organize a travel all around Europe on a Volkswagen bus! I have a "To do list" that never shortens… it keeps on growing because there’s always something new to add! So…. “throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” (Mark Twain).

My passions are juggling and aerial silk (circus disciplines). I enjoy a lot hiking and stay outside into the nature in general, discovering hidden spots and not turistic places. I like cooking and my favorite moment is when everybody take a seat around the table, sharing the meal and enjoying the conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing represents the perfect way to "go local", meet friendly hosts and, of course, save money.
I am not interested in typical, turistic tours of the city.... to say that I have known a place I need to LIVE it. And the best way to do it is with local, open-minded people. My experiences so far have been very nice, I met great people with whom I am still in contact :)

I like to learn languages! I would like to improve my French and Portuguese and in exchange we can practice Spanish, English or Italian. I can also share some good tips in the kitchen for an healthy diet :)
