Sobre mí

Who am I? What a tough question… A question that humans have been pondering for thousands of years without finding an answer, and here I am, in my twenties, expected to have it all figured out?

I'm still on the search for my path in life after years of studying, travelling and working. I've always had a passion for trying out different experiences, and it frustrates me that we only have one life to live because there are so many things I'd love to be and so many passions I'd like to explore. But I suppose that's what makes life so precious, isn't it?

I'm currently based in Rome and about to get my Master Degree in foreign languages and cultures, since I'd like to teach in schools everything I learned from my studies and travels. Alongside this, I've also studied dubbing and audiovisual translation, and I'm eager to explore opportunities in that field as well or perhaps venture into a completely different one; who knows what life has in store for me.

I enjoy doing a lot of things: walking, swimming, biking, dancing, singing, playing instruments (I play ukulele, flute and piano, but I would LOVE to learn to play accordion), reading, watching good TV series and movies, taking pictures, playing board games, gardening, trying out new hobbies... But also chilling and napping 😋 in a word... living!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I subscribed because Couchsurfing is a different way of travelling. Because it allows for a deeper connection with the places I visit, getting to know new people and their stories. I'm eager to hear all those stories to realize, little by little, how vast and diverse the world is, and how countless lives coexist and intertwine, each unique yet surprisingly similar.

Música, películas y libros

Impossible to pick a favorite book, each one leaves a sign! I enjoy reading all types of books: novels, autobiographies, scientific essays, historical books etc.

Music? Don’t even get me started! I don’t have a favorite genre, much less a song or a group/singer. I like the music that let me feel something; the music I associate with a particular memory of my life; the one which makes me want to dance. Classic, metal, rock, pop, country, jazz, soundtracks of cartoons and movies… It doesn’t really matter. I love listening to music in foreign languages, even ones I don’t understand, and I think it’s one of the best ways to learn a language.

Favorite movies: Titanic, Train de Vie, Sister Act, Mother, El Hoyo... and more!
Favorite TV series: Breaking Bad, The Good Place, The Office, Death Note, Sherlock BBC, Charmed... and more 😉

Algo increíble que he hecho

- Jumping from a seven metres high bridge into a small, cold mountain lake surrounded by rocks (and I actually regretted it in the very moment my feet left the bridge!)

- Swimming with sea turtles! Breathtaking, unforgettable experience.

- My solo travel in third class on a long-distance train in Russia, a VERY old, Tajik train. Most cozy atmosphere ever. Absolutely loved it!

Next on the “to do” list: backpacking in Latin America and skydiving!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

To teach, to learn, to share: three beautiful verbs that should be at the base of every single relationship. I’m ready and keen to share experiences, stories and ideas, to learn anything you’d like to teach me and to teach you anything you’d like to learn from me: languages, playing ukulele, making bread… maybe even cooking some Italian dish, but I’m afraid that about cooking I have more to learn than to teach! :)

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

In addition to stories, experiences and skills, I offer help with housework, and I offer neatness and respect. I offer quiet and discretion alongside company and sociability, all in perfect balance. And above all, I thank you for the hospitality right away!
