Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A relative newcomer, I have only been to a few gatherings in London.
But I have met plenty of surfers and hosts and have heard so many good reports. I love meeting new people and I am excited to get involved properly; to travel more and see places through the eyes of the people who live there.
As soon as I have space, I can't wait to host people in London, and be able to show them this incredible city, the way I see it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Attending The Great Annual Meet up of The Daniels, at the Daniel Gooch Pub, London. (People not named Daniel were invited too). It was great, people had flown in from all over, just to meet at this pub, because they were called Daniel. We all wore Jack Daniels T-shirts, got drunk and ate pizza. The pub owners thought we were weird.

Interests

Sooo much. Architecture is my passion, a subject that can and does encompass anything and everything. To be (slightly) more specific; fun, science, maths, making stuff, archaeology, philosophy, drinking wine and being by the sea.

Anything I haven't done before.

  • architecture
  • wine
  • partying
  • drinking
  • pub crawls
  • traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a big projector in our basement and watch loads of films. Some notable ones of recent:
Life Acqutic, World's Greatest Dad, Being John Malcovich, Fantastic Mr. Fox...

Cat Empire, Whitest Boy Alive, The Black Keys, Camera Obscura, Slow Club, Frederic Chopin, Techno, Buena Vista Social Club, Nouvelle Vague, Kitty Daisy and Lewis...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eduardo Souto de Moura's Brutal concrete Braga Stadium on a rainy afternoon in Portugal. The building blended so beautifully into its surroundings it could have been made from the cliff itself. Stunning.

Teach, Learn, Share
