I'm a very social person. I grew up all over the south, so meeting new friends is part of my DNA. I enjoy live music, hiking and canoeing, a nice bourbon drink, hanging out with my friends, and traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First off, I enjoy meeting new folks. Secondly, I have the travel bug, but not the travel bug budget. Growing up in the south, I am used to making people feel welcome, and enjoy when I find similar souls. I've been an Airbnb host for more than 2 years, so I understand what it takes to make folks feel at home. As a single guy, I can stay in a 2-star hotel with no problem. As long as I have a somewhat comfortable place to lay my head, I'm good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started a block party in my neighborhood--always on the 3rd of July-- that regularly pulls 1200 guests each year to enjoy great music, beer, food, and friends. I always have great talent, but one of my best headliners was The Mavericks. My party (The Thirth) has been growing for 18 years solid!
