My name is Chris, known to most as 'Freebs'. After finishing my degree at university in 2011 I took off around the world for a 12 month trip through South East Asia, Uk, Europe, Russia and India. It was an incredible year. Now I am back in Australia and have recently started my own business.

I love living a life of movement and excitement. I drive myself to find beauty in all things and constantly recalibrate my preconceptions toward a more open minded attitude to life.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

In 2012 I traveled around the world. Whilst I mostly stayed in hostels, toward the end of my trip I did more couch surfing. Hosting couch surfers now that I'm back home is a way of repaying the favour and staying in touch with the traveling lifestyle.

We have hosted many people in our little beach side suburb and get a real kick out of being able to show people a different side of Sydney away from the touristy areas, somewhere a bit more local, with plenty of natural beauty too!

I'm an architect and super passionate about what I do, I've seen the world in its extremities, I love to travel and explore new places. I love getting outdoors and making the most of lifes little pleasures.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

"Into the Wild" is a great movie and even better book that set me on a course of books like "Into Thin Air", "Shantaram" and "The Road to Kandahar".

I love any movie by Tarantino or Scorsese, but would have to say my favourite movie is "In Bruges" on account of having watched it about 50 times...
