Hello everyone,

I’m Christiane from Berlin, Germany! I have been travelling Australia since October 2023. Currently I am in Hobart. My next destination will be the east coast. Though first I am looking for a job to fund my travels, and that could be anything anywhere! Looking forward to meeting many awesome people, having cool experiences and little adventures.

So here’s a bit about me:
I like reading, watching movies and series. I love singing and used to sing in several bands! I also tried taking guitar and ukulele lessons, but didn't get very far yet. Maybe you can teach me some more :D I love learning languages and try to pick some new words up wherever I go. I like to be in an around water and I enjoy weightlifting :) Last but not least, I'm into animals, especially dogs!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

It took me until age 24 to realise that I love travelling on my own and experiencing different cultures and landscapes. I often find that when I go alone, I’m way more open for meeting new people and being spontaneous. I love couchsurfing because it gives me the opportunity of never feeling lonely on my trips, to meet lots of friendly people from various countries and cultures and to dive even deeper into the travelling experience than I would staying in a hotel or hostel. I like the excitement of always meeting new people and find that travellers are in general very open minded and up for exploring and going out.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Moved abroad to study in Copenhagen for 5 months - and had the most amazing time!

Also, my solo trip around Europe for 30 days (8 countries, 14 cities) in July/August 2018 was just the best idea ever! That’s also when I discovered couchsurfing and met so many awesome people :)

And, to change it up, here are some experiences I would still like to make while travelling (maybe you can hook me up or give me some recommendations if you already tried one of the following): outdoor horseback riding, sailing (again!), surfing (again), diving, parachuting, kite-flying, ... (more to come) ;)

I like to cook, so we can definitely do that together! I also just like hanging out and having chats about life, mindsets and interests. I would not only enjoy seeing your favourite places in your city, but we can also explore some new locations together that you've always wanted to see but never had the chance to. :)

Food! Laughs! Giving a hand at repairs or gardening. Petting cats and dogs and taking them for a walk :) and of course I could teach you some German, if you would like :)
