Overview
About Me
Currently I am a Glendale Community College student with plans to transferring to Cal State LA in Fall 2016 to attain my Bachelors in Biochemistry. I am a science oriented person who is interested in anything nature related, particularly, in botany. Overall, I am completely invested in my education and project myself going into graduate school after attaining my bachelors. Aside from school, I am a very active person who commits to bike riding as a mode of transportation. For part-time work, I am a math instructor at Mathnasium in Glendale where I tutor math for students in grades K-12. I am a first generation born whereas, my parents originated from Nicaragua.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am couch surfing to explore the vastness of this country. I am currently on winter break and have planned a road trip/ camping/ soul searching adventure with a dear friend in hopes of satiating our need of nature and the great outdoors.
Interests
I enjoy conversing and listening to experiences people convey. Whether it be over a campfire or impromptu scenario, being able to listen and speak with another individual has always been my favorite hobby. I also love to practice flow art, a type of hula hooping, as it is my favorite physical meditative outlet that helps equilibrate my mind from my rigorous student life-style.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music would be the type that can make me dance. I have a broad variety of music interests, from reggae to techno. As of late, I have been really digging a new artist which I found on Soundcloud named Doja Cat. Favorite movies are few as I rarely watch tv but I do prefer the horror genre films over any other. Favorite books would definitely have to be my textbooks as they have definitely helped me succeed up to this far.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have participated in research over the Summer of 2015 at Cal State LA. We investigated the programmed death in the thale cress plant and the enzymes/proteins responsible in the signaling mechanism.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a math instructor at Mathnasium, I am constantly teaching and sharing mathematical knowledge. At the same time, working with young children has taught me the importance of providing a positive role model for the children.
