Hey guys! I'm Craig. I'd like to describe myself as a photographer, traveler, food slayer and worldly adventurer. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and moved out to the East Cost for college and work (I'm a news aide and freelance photographer for the Washington Post)I love going to new places and meeting new people. I started CS when I first moved to DC as a way of meeting more locals and then as a way to make friends in the cities I traveled to. 3 years and counting, its been great so far. One of my goals for the not so distant future is to visit all 50 states before I'm 25 (I've been to 29 so far!)
If you'd like to see some of my photography, check out my website craighudsonphoto.com or my "places I've been to" album on CS. I daresay you'll like what you see!
I'm a big fan of music (I was taught guitar by John Mayer. Not THE John Mayer. Just another dude named John Mayer) History, politics, philosophy and literature. I'm even getting into Sports now too!
"Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride"-Hunter S Thompson.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surf, and host(coffee and drink option for now) and show anyone around who happens to be in the area. If you want a history professor as a tour guide, i'm your dude. Did you know DC was actually attacked by the Confederacy during the Civil War? and that the Washington Monument had two construction periods? Thats just the start of it, there is way more info if i show you around.
CS has been an amazing experience. Everywhere i've gone from Boston, Toronto, Memphis, Birmingham, Nashville, Chicago, Cinci, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Knoxville, Richmond, Philly, Syracuse and counting have been great.
I love spending time in any type of nature or city with a good story to it. Music of all kinds, History both modern and more into ancient as time goes on, Politics (I appreciate any opinions that one can back up) and different forms of philosophy. This is just off the top of my head; I could say alot about many different things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My photos have made the front page of the Washington Post, was a student at the XXV Eddie Adams workshop, got to photograph and be a part of some really cool events, from Obama's second inauguration and the Tribute in Light in New York City on 9/11/11 to the Golden Gate Bridges 75th birthday and being in the crowd in the front of the White House after we got Bin Laden.
