¡Hola! Mi nombre es Cindy Aneli. Me apasiona la fotografía, la escritura creativa, los temas filosóficos y políticos, así como el trabajo en y con la naturaleza. Desde pequeña, siempre sentí una profunda curiosidad y un anhelo por explorar el mundo y su enorme diversidad en forma de culturas, naturaleza y personas.
Durante mis últimos años en la escuela, comenzó a surgir lentamente un sueño en mi mente, que se transformó en un plan y ahora es mi realidad: viajar un año sola por el continente sudamericano, desde Chile hasta México. Elegí Sudamérica porque su geografía diversa, su historia especial y la cálida mentalidad de su gente me cautivaron rápidamente.
Mientras viajo, es importante para mí no apresurarme a través de los diferentes destinos, sino tomarme mi tiempo para tener una visión más profunda de la vida cultural. Creo que la mejor manera de conocer un lugar es a través de las personas que viven allí. Por eso, Couchsurfing es una oportunidad maravillosa.

Hey! My Name is Cindy Aneli. I am passionate about photography, creative writing, philosophical as well as political themes and the work in and with nature. Since I am little I always felt a deep curiosity and longing for exploring the world and its huge Diversity in form of culture, nature and people. During my final years at school there was slowly arrising a dream in my head, which transformed into a plan and is now my reality: travelling one year alone through the South American continent from Chile all the way up to Mexico. I decided for South America because the diverse geography, special history and warm mentality of the people quickly captivated me. While travelling it is important for me not rushing through the diffrent destinations but taking my time for having a more profound insight in the cultural life. I believe that you can get to know a place the best through the people who are living there. Couchsurfing is therefore a wonderful opportunity.

En cuanto an mis géneros musicales favoritos, me encanta escuchar Indie, Techno, Rap y HipHop alemán, RnB, Funk y Jazz Rap. ¡A través de los viajes también descubrí mi amor por la cumbia y la salsa!
Me fascinan las películas de los Estudios Ghibli, especialmente “Mi vecino Totoro” y “El viaje de Chihiro”. También disfruto mucho viendo documentales sobre países extranjeros, culturas, naturaleza y temas políticos.
Me apasionan los libros con contenido filosófico y me encanta leer literatura clásica. Además, a menudo me atrapan las novelas distópicas.
Creo que mi favorito libro es “Al faro” de Virginia Woolf. Ahora estoy leando "cien anos de soledad" de Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

Regarding my favorite music genres I love to hear Indie, Techno, German Rap and HipHop, RnB, Funk and Jazz Rap. Through travelling I also found my love for Cumbia and Salsa!
I absolutely love movies from the Ghibli Studios. Especially the movie “My Neighbor Totoro” and “Spirited Away”. As well as I like to watch documentaries about foreign countries, cultures, nature and political themes.
I am fascinated by books with philosophical content and love to read classical literature. Furthermore I am often captivated by dystopian novels.
I think one of my favorite books is “to the lighthouse” from Virginia Woolf. Right now I am reading "100 years of solitude" from Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

El año pasado se me ocurrió la idea de postularme como actriz de fondo para una obra de teatro en el teatro local de mi ciudad.
Todo salió bien y, como resultado, interpreté a una estatua griega en la obra "Rómulo el Grande" de Dürrenmatt durante la temporada de verano. 🎭
No fue mi primer contacto con la cultura y la literatura, ya que anteriormente formé parte de un espectáculo de cabaret, lo que me llevó a crear contenido cultural como pequeñas obras de teatro, poemas y poetry slams de mi propia autoría.

EN:
Last year I got the idea to apply for a theater play as a background actress in my local town theater.
Everything worked out and consequently I played a greek statue in the play “Romulus the Great“ from Dürrenmatt in the summer season. 🎭
Not that it was my first acquaintance with culture and literature as before I was part of a cabaret show which made me create cultural content so as tiny theater plays, poems and self-written poetry slams.

Como mis padres son ruso-alemanes y tienen raíces eslavas, me encantaría cocinar para ti comida rusa, como por ejemplo una sopa rusa de verano llamada “Okroschka” o la versión rusa de las empanadas, conocidas como “Wareniki” 🥟.
En cuanto a la comida alemana, puedo prepararte las típicas papas fritas alemanas o panqueques, que en alemán se llaman “Pfannkuchen”.
Para una experiencia alemana completa, podemos tomar una cerveza fría juntos :)

As my parents are russian-germans and have slavic roots, I would love to cook for you Russian food, like for rxample a Russian summer soup “Okroschka” or the Russian version of empanadas called “Wareniki” 🥟
With regard to German food I can cook you the typical German fried potatoes or pancakes in German called “Pfannkuchen”.
For the full German experience we can drink a cold beer together :)
