About Me

I'm an international student studying in Cork, Ireland, and it's my first time in Europe. I've always been fascinated by the beautiful grandiose architecture and all the buildings and sites so steeped in history and culture. At the same time, I find peace within the rolling hills and the quiet embrace of nature, full of life in lush green and golden hues that I so often dream about. Now that I finally have the chance to be in Europe, I really would love to travel as many places as I can, listen to the rich and diverse stories of the people, and perhaps make some new friends and create really unique memories while at it!

I'm living in summer accommodations in a shared house so my hosting situation isn't ideal, would love to help out and show you around if I can though!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While travelling with friends is something I take comfort in, my first solo-travelling and couchsurfing experience has been amazing! It is a little thrilling, a little adventurous, and a major eye-opener, but most of all I've connected with strangers in ways I thought wouldn't be possible. I really appreciated the late-night deep conversations about the world and everything in between, and the overwhelming kindness and open-mindedness people have shown me has made me fall in love with this way of travelling. Besides, I would trust a local's knowledge of what is good way more than what my (occasionally over-enthused) friends recommend ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I especially love touching books and movies that can move me to the core, the kind that mixes a bit of grief, bittersweet sorrow, and retrospective happiness after overcoming turmoil, and that leaves much to reflect on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a few walks halfway across my home country (okay, it's not that big but I'm still proud of myself for doing that while I can!), including strolling down paths not really meant for pedestrians, just to see the neighbourhoods and little corners that I often simply pass by, and to slow down and appreciate the natural scenery I've always had around me but never really stopped to look at. Walking long-distance has somewhat become a habit and enjoyment that I (somehow) managed to clock more than 17km in a day just touring London during Christmas day when all public transport was shut down for the day!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, and hopefully fun! I'm known to be a baller and have encountered quite a bit of ridiculousness throughout my travels (and indeed my life), feel free to ask away and get more than just a few laughs at the incredulity of some of my stories! Also I'd love to help around the house (cooking if you trust me enough) if you let me, because I hate being a freeloader
