Overview
About Me
My name is Clara, I'm from Spain, and I have worked both as an illustrator, 2D animator and vet assistant! I am now getting my degree and will soon be a vet :)
I live with my partner in a small apartment we own. We have a pet parrot named Chester, and often have cats and dogs around because we volunteer at animal shelters, so we foster them until they are adopted! So, if you're allergic, it might not be the best option :(
I love anything drawn or animated, video games, animals, horror films, cooking, baking, board games... Just tell me what you like, I'm sure we can find common ground :D
I speak Spanish and English, a few words in French, and I am learning German, so any German speakers are extra welcome! My partner can also speak Catalonian!
We are LGBTQ friendly and, following advice I saw online, I want to say that we aren't looking for anything other than friendship. No, we are not one of those weird couples who want a third. Don't be scared, female travellers, you are safe with us, same for lgbtq folks.
If you don't feel safe, we can do video calls or something, whatever will make you feel more secure!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, someone needed to stay in my home, so I decided to join the app! We don't travel a lot but we may be able to offer our couch and a bed in our spare room to those who may need it or people who just want to explore the city with free guides!
We'd love to meet new people and make friends, hopefully, we get to meet people from Germany who can teach me a bit of German. I have been learning the language for 3 years, but I am in dire need of help haha.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I love indie music, Adrianne Lenker, Car seat headrest, TV girl, big thief, The marias, Mega mango, Clairo. Also some old timey pop, rock, swing music and anything to do with animated series or musicals :)
My partner loves more electronic music and reggaeton (Ew)
Movies /Series
Animated series and movies are what I love most! Some of my favourites are, Bojack Horseman, Tuca and Bertie, Adventure Time, Wolkwakers, Robot Dreams, The Owl House, Steven Universe...
My partner is more into the romcoms, comedy and police shows.
We also loved Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, The Office, A Good Place and many others.
Books:
We both love romantic and horror books. I have read the Warrior Cats saga, but I don't read much anymore. Most of my books are either science books about cooking or art books from shows and movies I love.
He loves all the suspense and detective misteries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done many cool things to be honest but most might sound boring haha. I would say that rescuing animals is one of the coolest things we do
Teach, Learn, Share
What I can teach:
I can teach English or Spanish, can teach you how to draw and animate, my partner is pretty good at anything electronic and quite a handyman, and I can teach you how to cook most things.
What I would love to learn:
I love to learn new cuisines, different cultures, traditions, and would love to improve my German!
What I can Share:
I know how to cook, Mexican and Indian cuisine are my favourites with Italian being a close third, I am a pretty okay home cook. I can share my home, my food, my books, my games, and, if you need anythin,g let me know!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A place to sleep, eat, bathe/shower, and many board games and video games to play together!
If you need food or anything, just ask, we can spare food and can cook most dishes. I usually have vegan/vegetarian options as well.
