About Me
Hello lovely humans! 👋
I’m Clara, originally from Germany and have been calling Australia home for the past four years. After a few quiet years of Couchsurfing silence (thanks Covid, studying, traveling, and life doing its thing), I finally have space again—to host, connect, and welcome people from all over. And I’m genuinely excited about it!
I love meeting new people and sharing the good stuff: stories, laughs, coffees, and simple meals that somehow turn into long conversations. I’m not a big party person and I don’t drink, but I do enjoy calm, cosy vibes and meaningful connections.
I’d really love to wake up my sleepy Spanish and French again (they’ve been napping for a while), so language exchanges are very welcome! I’m also hoping to get back into salsa dancing—whether that’s practicing, learning, or laughing through the wrong steps together 💃
Recently, I’ve started experimenting with painting and being creative, so if you’re feeling artsy or just curious to create something together, reach out! Brushes, colours, ideas, tea—everything counts.
If you enjoy relaxed energy, creativity, good conversations, and shared moments over shared playlists or meals, we’ll probably get along just fine 🌱
Hosting
I’m really happy to finally host again! I moved into a new place in Hamilton Hill not too long ago, so we’re still in that “slowly making it feel like home” phase—meaning not all the dream furniture has arrived yet, but the good energy is definitely already here.
I live with my boyfriend, who works away and is gone a lot. During the weeks he’s home, I’ll usually pause hosting—but when he’s away, I’m keen to welcome guests. We have a spare room with a comfy queen mattress, and I’m happy to host up to two people if you’re okay sharing the space. For now, the mattress is on the floor (minimalist chic 😉), but we’re on the lookout for the perfect bed frame soon!
If you’re easygoing, flexible, and enjoy a relaxed home vibe, you’ll fit right in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I love the magic that happens when strangers stop being strangers—usually somewhere between a shared coffee, a good laugh, and a slightly too‑honest conversation. After a quieter phase of life, I’m excited to open my home again, meet curious humans, swap stories from near and far, and collect those small, unexpected moments that make traveling (and hosting) so special. For me, it’s all about connection, openness, and a little everyday adventure ✨
Interests
I’m drawn to slow, soulful moments—deep conversations, shared meals, laughter, and the little rituals of everyday life. I’m interested in healing, holistic health, and nervous‑system awareness, and I enjoy exploring practices that help us feel more connected, grounded, and at ease. I’d love to gently revive my Spanish and French, return to salsa dancing as a form of embodied joy, and lately I’ve been exploring painting as a way to create, listen inward, and simply play. If you enjoy conscious living, creativity, and meaningful exchanges, we’ll likely resonate 🌙✨
Music, Movies, and Books
Depends on my mood and what I feel like in the moment, that changes constantly!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 9 months in Georgia 🇬🇪 one of my favorite travel experiences so far!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m happy to share my health and healing journey, as well as creative space for painting or photography or simply slowing down. I’d love to learn from others’ experiences, cultures, and ways of seeing the world, and I’m always open to language exchanges in Spanish or French. If you feel like sharing movement, salsa basics, creative energy, or grounded presence, I believe the best learning happens naturally—through connection 🌿
