Getting back into the American groove
I'm a world traveller... I lived for 2 years in Taiwan teaching English- it's a fantastic job and I can't wait to go back there! I'm back in Columbia, SC, the place where I spent 4 great years in college at USC. It's rough transitioning back to life in the states, aside from the jetlag, there's reverse culture shock. Where are my favorite snacks, the busy nightlife, the sub-tropical mountains??? Oh well...
Anyway, I'm a really laid-back person, pretty clean and neat, and very respectful and considerate. I love cooking and gardening, as well as exotic pets like chickens and rabbits (and other things...) Although I grew up on a farm, I love the big city excitement! But I'm still a nature girl at heart :)
Live each day boldly and fully! Life is ridiculously short, so savor it intensely! Variety, gosh, must have variety! And live green, with sincerity, because the earth shouldn't be trashed by our carelessness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I'm looking for a permanent apartment in Columbia, and I'll be happy to host surfers once everything's settled. I'm in need of a couch or two during this transition process, although I do have a few friends I can crash with as well.
None so far!
Too many to list, but they include...
languages, like Russian, Chinese, Taiwanese Georgian...
animals and plants...
music, like electronica, folk music, classical...
travel! I have been to Germany, the UK, Russia, and Taiwan

Music, Movies, and Books
Foreign, artsy films do it for me. Comedy is great too. Not a huge TV fan, but, you know, I'm known to watch some amusing series :P
I love all kinds of odd music, again, foreign and artsy stuff. Classical is also quite nice!
I've become more and more bookish, I rarely read fiction though, mainly some scientific stuff... nerdy stuff :P
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one? My life is a never-ending stream of amazing things... I'll be happy to share my cool experiences and I'm always at the edge of my seat to hear someone else's story.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a terrible nerd and I will show you my insect collection from Taiwan if you dare. Prepare to be subjected to my ramblings about animal behavior, and maybe pick up some random Chinese or Russian words. (Not the bad ones, unless you ask!)
