我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was studying abroad in Europe and had the opportunity to utilize couchsurfing there. It was AMAZING!

I'd like to host others once I buy my own property~

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only surfed twice in my whole CS career. The first time was with a friend and the second time was by myself. Both were an amazing experience because CSing with someone and then by yourself gave me two different experiences. My two hosts were wonderful people, they were the definition of a good host--sooooo accommodating, so open, and so generous. Something I would like to see myself as in the future!

兴趣

I like to be outdoors and go hiking. I'm so use to being in cities that I forget about mother nature. I really enjoy observing architecture, trying new foods (I come from Orange County, home of foodies!), appreciating art and people watching. I'm a go-with-the-flow type of gal but I do believe in structure when it calls for it! As an example... I have a plan/schedule any time I visit a place for the first time (for obvious reasons) but definitely am open to a local's itinerary! How else would I get a hands-on cultural experience? I like going to any type of festivals--cultural, food, music, beer--you name it!

I believe in making ripples in the world instead of trying to create big waves.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The subways in New York City are very fast and cannot stop abruptly or see very far ahead of them. For this reason, many people can die instantly if they fall onto the tracks. There was a fairly decent amount of people waiting around for the subway to come by, when all of a sudden, a man had slipped and fallen onto the tracks. At that moment the subway was coming and you could hear it around the corner. The man could not climb out of the pit on his own. In those 15-20 seconds following the mans fall into the pit, were people reaching down to help him out. You would see bikers dropping their bikes and climbing into the pit to help push the man out. People were dropping their belongings, helping to create an assembly line to help pull the man out. In that instant, you could see that humanity wasn't going down, that society wasn't that corrupt. That individuals like this exist, gave hope.
