I like to think of myself as open-minded and realistic. I consider my experiences traveling to be some of the most meaningful experiences of my life and I feel that seeing how others live their lives has shaped how I live my own life today. In my travels I have realized that much of visiting new places is about experiencing the culture which is only really possible by meeting the people, eating the food and seeing the world through the eyes of others. Couchsurfing has given me the privilege of meeting others in their own cities and welcoming them to my own, I couldn't be more greatful.
I am deeply rooted in Philadelphia, my community is one that I have worked years to establish and I cherish everyone in my life here. I have a beautiful network of friends here and though I am often busy "working" i rarely ever feel I am at work. I have worked at a great bar/restaurant in Center City Philly for years and also work as a butcher in the Reading Terminal Market. I can honestly say I love doing what I do, all of it.
As far as couchsurfing goes, I prefer to spend time with those staying with me. I have definitely used and had my place used as a quick, free hostel, which I think is another wonderful aspect of this network. However, I feel that in order to be best worth my free time, I would like to spend time with those staying with me. I enjoy showing people around and getting to know them and I have made some incredible friends through Couchsurfing from all over the world whose friendships I look forward to keeping for a long long time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have a set of keys just for CSers
I've had about 50+ CSers crash with me in the last 9 years and I've surfed a fair bit myself. I've had an incredible time
Agriculture, bikes, culture, dance, food/bev, food science, music, sustainable food systems, traveling.
Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch too much TV or movies, i love most music and most of the reading I do is informational. However, the Alchemist is a book I constantly revisit and find very grounding.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
2 things; Africa and all her amazing people and Russian River's Supplication.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn anything! we all have something about one another that others dont. i don think i will be teaching anyone anything special if visited. i do think a person, especially one with character enough to volunteer their time to the couchsurfing concept, is a very valuable person to meet. if not learning, then enjoying the rarity of good company and becoming more in touch with what we have and who we are make this experience well worth it.
Countries I’ve Visited
