I just quit a job I didn't love and jumped into grad school with both feet. I'm getting my M.Ed. and will be a high school teacher some day soon. Music, Movies, and Books
Avett Brothers, Blitzen Trapper, Ben Folds, Andrew Bird and my guilty pleasure is Kayne. I am currently on a mission to read the BBC's 100 most important books. This is a slow moving process, but I just finished the Great Gatsby and am working on Catch 22. I don't watch a ton of movies, but I'll let me nerd slip out a little bit and admit that the most recent Star Trek movie is probably my current favorite.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I have spent nearly a month (in 2 separate chunks) living in the Everglades - sleeping on a canoe, sleeping on beaches, swimming with dolphins. More than any other experience, this has probably shaped me the most.
