CURRENT ADVENTURE
My wife Ivy and I are traveling from Morocco to Ghana from October until January. We would love to meet up along the way and learn more about you and your countries!

ABOUT ME
I was born on a small island in the Puget Sound, north of Seattle and homeschooled until high school. I then went to university in Seattle, living there off and on for almost 7 years. I lived in Vail afterwards, then Las Vegas and now I'm back in the Northwest splitting my time between Seattle and Orcas Island. I'm a sommelier and own a small wine shop. I love traveling and do so whenever I can. I'm easy going, curious about life and live for experiences. I have two younger sisters and a brother. We're very close.

PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy is evolving. I want to find peace of mind and the meaning of happiness. Whatever that may be. And I want to build a ladder to the stars and climb on every rung. And I want to always be learning. And above all I want to remember that I share a world with many other people. No right or wrong way to live. Just different ways.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This site has added a whole new dimension to the way I travel. I am a lifelong participant. Surfed/met up with couchsurfers in Ireland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Croatia and South Africa. It completely transforms traveling and interactions.

I really need to expand this list but it seems quite daunting. Lately I have been asking people who interest me to jot down the names of books and authors they have enjoyed reading. So I have lists that should keep me for some time. I do love Hemingway and Pink Floyd. And I am learning to love others. War on Drugs and Bob Dylan!
