CURRENT MISSION

Sharing life and adventure experiences, being in action, staying as young and healthy as possible. As much as we've enjoyed hosting, we'll be traveling for an undetermined period of time with a desire to learn as much as we can and hopefully make a few contributions along our way. We'll be in South America (Spring 2016), Europe (Summer 2016), and Southeast Asia (Winter 2017). We may or may not be able to host depending on our accommodation but please feel free to send us a message and we'll host you if we can.

ABOUT ME

Brenda and I are pretty active people and like to take trips full of activity and adventure. We like just about anything outdoors but also like cultural/historic experiences. We often plan trips based on running events or festivals. We love life and enjoy meeting new people as guests or hosts.

Hosting and surfing - we enjoy meeting new folks and sharing experiences

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All positive so far! We participate in Couch Surfing because we like to make connections with people from other regions or countries who share some common interests and might even like to stay in touch. We are selective hosts and surfers and we look for commonalities in profiles, couch requests, or references that make us think we would like to meet to share good conversation and travel experiences. By approaching CS this way, we have met some really neat people, made some new friends, and have really enjoyed both our hosting and surfing experiences.

We enjoy reading fiction, motivational, and philosophical literature as well as music of all flavors: classic rock, country, reggae, celtic, jazz and others. Favorite movies include 180 degrees South, Into the Wild, Marley & Me, the Hoosiers, Pay it Forward, and many more.

We've completed marathons, climbed many 14k peaks, and enjoyed lots of exhilarating experiences. We've been mentors to young adults and have been with a person as they died. We've experienced happiness, sorrow, contentment, and peace and have been fortunate enough to travel many places and meet some really cool people. We love spending a day with a stranger just about as much as we enjoy spending a day with our friends and often learn something from those experiences so, for us, it's impossible to state just one amazing thing because life is pretty amazing!

We are long term residents in Colorado and have travelled the United States extensively so can offer good tips to travelers. If you are here during the winter months (Dec - March) we can teach skiing or snowboarding. If here during the summer months (June - September) we might try to take you to the top of a peak if you're up for a challenge. If not, that's ok too - we will be happy to host at our home or visit a cool local pub.
