I love to learn about other cultures, learn languages, and make friends but I have a tendency to be shy when first meeting people so couch surfing is something that forces me out of my comfort zone and into life experiences worth having.

I'll listen to anything and everything except country, and with that I know most of the classics. Probably listen to alternative and indie/pop the most. I'm actually in library school so I can always recommend a good book and I'm willing to read most anything, but I prefer YA fiction and memoirs. Augusten Burroughs, Rick Yancey, JK Rowling, and HG Wells are some of my favorite authors.

I'm always learning! I'm a huge data nerd so I'm always reading up on new studies and constantly trying to listen to people's stories either in person or through public radio and podcasts. I'm happy to share anything interesting I find.
