Overview
About Me
Hey there! We’re Courtney and Matt—a married couple who’ve been hosting travelers over various platfroms for years now, and we truly love it. Sharing our space, stories, and a bit of our everyday life has been one of the most rewarding parts of Couchsurfing.
We live with our three rescue pups—Finnegan, Stella, and our newest little troublemaker, Eggroll—and two cats, Malakai and Farrah. (Malakai, for the record, is pretty sure he’s one of the dogs.)

About Our Home
Over the years, we’ve met a lot of solo travelers—especially women and LGBTQ+ folks—who’ve ended up in uncomfortable or even unsafe situations. That doesn’t sit right with us.
So let’s be clear: our home is a safe space. We don’t care where you’re from, who you love, or how you identify. If you’re kind and respectful, you’re welcome here. That’s it.
We aim to offer a warm place to land, a comfy spot to rest, and the peace of mind that you’re somewhere you can let your guard down. All we ask is the same respect in return—for us, our pets, and our space.
Looking forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love to travel, and we’re big fans of the pay-it-forward spirit behind Couchsurfing. Over the years, we've met incredible people and made some lifelong friends through this community.
We genuinely believe Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to experience a new place—not just the sights, but the heart of it. Staying with locals gives you access to hidden gems and real insight into how people live, and we’re always excited to offer that in return.
We feel lucky to call this city and region home, and we’re thrilled to share what we love about it with fellow travelers.

What I Can Share with Hosts
We’re pretty easygoing and usually only host when we’re off work, which means we’re often able to spend time with you—whether that’s a lot or just a little is totally up to you.
If you’re in town for a few days and want to check out the mountains, let us know! We love road trips and are often happy to tag along on an adventure or even help plan one.
We also keep a basket stocked with travel brochures, maps, guides, and local passes to help you get the most out of your time in Calgary and Alberta—whether you’re exploring with us or heading out on your own.
