Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi! We are Cristian and Lindsey. We have been living in S.E. Asia since 2014 as ESL teachers. We have just finished 1 year living in Da Nang, Vietnam. During that time we hosted two wonderful guests from China. This was definitely a slower year for us in terms of hosting but now we are back on the road, traveling ourselves. We hope to continue meeting and sharing with others along the way. We started using CS back in Thailand from 2014 as a host, then were able to meet awesome people while traveling in Malaysia and Vietnam. We really enjoy CS as a means of discovering how locals and expats live and enjoy the place they are in. We especially like how open and easy going the CS community has been around the world.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
We are looking to meet and share anything big or small with those across the world, learn and teach something new, and hopefully bring the world a little closer. We like to share food, music, art, ideas, film, humor, and photography. We believe the world needs more personal and unique connections! We are also eager to help with anything people may need whether you have kids or animals to look after for a short time, cooking, cleaning, small task to do in the house or garden, or just someone to talk to!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
We are big fans of alternative forms of travel and living.
Since moving to SE Asia we have taken extensive motorbike trips around Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. It’s truly the best way to see SE Asia.
In the summers of 2013 and 2014 we hitch hiked from Brussels to Porto and then from Bologna to Makarska respectively. Both times we really explored what life was like 'on the road', relying on the good will of strangers, opening up to them, meeting people one normally wouldn't, fully appreciating the journey and camping off the beaten track.
In 2019 we hiked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, 210km over 19 days, reaching an altitude of 5400m.
Shortly after we rented a Tuk Tuk in Sri Lanka and drove around the island for a month. It was great to finally get behind the wheel of one of the most famous tourist vehicles in Asia.
In the future we hope to do an extensive travel through cycling, sailing, walking, or wherever else comes our way.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
If you host us don’t feel obligated to show us all the main spots as I’m sure you’ve seen them a million times. We joined CS to connect with people and experience everyday life of those who live in a place. We are happy to meet your friends and family, take a walk, cook a meal, try something unique like a festival or tradition, learn a new craft or custom or even help with a volunteer organization.
