About Me

I’m a Brazilian master student living in Germany. I graduated in Law and in Literature and Linguistics in Brazil. Nowadays I am studying InterAmerican Studies in the University of Bielefeld, Germany. I love traveling, so that’s what I do in my free time, as well as drinking and eating good food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I love traveling and meeting new places and people, I have low budget since I’m a master student. I created a Couchsurfing account to look for places in which I could not only rest during the trips, but also meeting people with whom I could share and discover a little bit more about the city and the local culture.

Interests

I enjoy gastronomic experiences and exploring cultures during my trips. My favorite drink is Margarita, I enjoy more salty things than sweet ones. I love talking and sharing experiences. I’m simply obsessed with Literature, and love dancing. My favorite rhythms are latin music, more specifically samba.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite Brazilian poet is Carlos Drummond de Andrade, and, if you like, I’d love to recite a little bit of it for you. I love cinema, and my favorite movie is In The Mood for Love, by Wong Kar-Wai. Some other titles that really catch my attention are Annie Hall, by Woody Allen; Glaneurs et la Glaneuse, by Agnès Varda; La Piel que Habito, by Almodóvar; and of course, O Auto da Compadecida (A Dog’s Will), by Guel Arraes, one of the best Brazilian movies ever made, inspired in the homonym book, by Ariano Suassuna.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I already wrote some books, and I’m working on this poetry book that I want to release soon.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’d love to show some Brazilian books and movies. I would love to share and learn more about the art scene from the region where I am visiting as well as the favorites authors and film-makers of my hosts.
