CURRENT MISSION

Exposing my children to the many wonderful people of our planet through couchsurfing both hosting and surfing. Update: 7/22/24-Get back to traveling and seeing places Update: 12/2025-I've got my tickets to New Zealand and hope to meet and get to know some awesome Kiwis.

ABOUT ME
2012: I grew up in upstate NY, rode my bicycle most of the way to CA in 1993 (bought a car in Sun Valley, Idaho and drove the rest of the way). I'm an outside-the-box type of person. I enjoy being in nature on my feet, bicycle, kayak, etc. I'm always interested in learning new things and especially enjoy local history. I enjoy getting to know people, places and animals. I'm into traaveling, gardening, ceramics and other crafts. I like to be helpful and productive. At present the focus of my life is spent my two awesome kids. Update, 11/14/18-Now my children are mostly raised up and I'm happy to say they are awesome, kind, intelligent, considerate people that I really enjoy being with. One is in college now and the other is a junior. Update: 2024-Now I'm enjoying pickleball, swimming, and starting to plan more travel trips 12/2025-Finally purchased my tickets to NZ...been wanting to go since I was 19.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host surfers and surf myself with my kids when I get a chance. 12/2025 update: I haven't hosted much in the past few years but hope to get to be hosted while visiting and traveling in NZ for 2 months in January -early March

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been a great experience both in hosting and being hosted. It has brought many wonderful people through our home as well as had many wonderful people host myself and my children

兴趣

Besides travel I enjoy all things outdoors, hiking, biking, kayaking, being in nature. I enjoy solitude as well as being social. I enjoy being with friends and being around friendly people. Update, 11/14/18-I the past few years I find I enjoy ceramics, fused glass, improv and entrepreneur endeavors.2024-Working on getting back into shape. 12/2025-In better shape and off to NZ for 2 months.

I like Period pieces, documentaries, personal stories, historical fiction, most music . I listen to audio books often and have many favorites.

Skydiving, swim with dolphins, wind sailing, canyoneering, seen the inside of a jail cell in Macchu piccu, ride my bicycle x-country, childbirth, adoption, being a step parent, built a house in Mexico, so many amazing things.

I can teach you about wild edibles, horseback riding, cooking, ceramics, gardening, card games etc.

I'm happy to go on an adventure together, swap fun travel stories, do improv, cook or clean up after a meal, or help out in some way.
