I am Caner from Turkey. I live and work in Istanbul.
I am an easygoing, friendly, open-minden person.
I try to do outdoor activities like camping and cycling. I regularly try to go to art events and film screenings. I love to do lots of different things at same day.
I love hearing about my new friends' cultures, homes, cities, traditions and adventures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people. It is good to meet people from different culture and is a good way to improve knowledge. It provides to see new habbits, hobbies, life stories, opinions and more.
I try to help to the visitors as much as possible. I cant be a full time guide, because of limitations of lifes but I try to do the best :)
I am vegan. And animal rights activist. I seek a world free from violence and the threat of violence.
Every life matters.
When i visit somewhere, I like to meet local people who can show me the local life. Visiting touristic places is good but i want to know more, want to belong to that city so i need to know basics of the city. So, couchsurfing helps me about it. I met here lots of people and they showed me the city while telling information and tricks.
It makes me feel good to walk for hours without knowing where it goes, to use transportation with people who go to work, to listen local music in a vegan cafe while eating traditional food, to join a yoga session at a park.
In the evenings, I can also visit bars clubs pubs. For example I can not forget Basiani club in tbilisi, it was really nice.
I like to know about the vegan places in city as well. Meeting vegan activists would be great also.
I organize events, mostly related to veganism in istanbul, turkey. Open for non-vegans , too.
Some of them:
Vegan barbecue + picnic + walking in the forest
Earthlings Movie Screening in Kadıkoy
Yoga in maçka parkı with vegan picnic

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going vegan and getting my passport
Teach, Learn, Share
I can not show istanbul always because i work busy but can give information what to do or where to go. I try to help as much as i can. Because I want to be helped when I go abroad:)
I can teach something from my language and share vegan food.
Maybe small programmings.
I'm very passionate to always learn about new cultures and people from all over. The more we know about, the more we admire and respect.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Whenever I have time, I try to share stories, experiences.
I can share my knowledge of turkish language.
I am a nice walking/running/cycling buddy! I can make your morning run a bit less lonely! We can visit attractive places together while walking/running/cycling.
And please do not offer non-vegan things. I am an ethical vegan. I do not consume any non-vegan things.
